About Us
The Laurens County Democratic Party exists because folks here deserve leaders who know them, listen to them, and don’t forget where they came from. We believe Laurens County works best when everybody belongs and nobody is left behind. When leadership is grounded in compassion, common sense, and respect — not fear or division. When the people most affected by decisions have a real seat at the table.
Across the county, people are doing their best to make ends meet. Families worry about healthcare bills, seniors worry about staying in their homes, parents worry about their children’s schools, and young people wonder whether they’ll be able to build a future right here. We are a party that supports an affordability agenda to help make life more affordable across our county, focusing on lowering the five core costs for hardworking Americans:
1) Healthcare: by advocating for broader access to affordable insurance options
2) Housing: through support for first-time homebuyers and rent relief programs to lower costs
3) Energy: by supporting policies that lower utility bills
4) Family Care: through increased access to affordable childcare and eldercare/ work doesn't work without accessible childcare
5) Household Essentials: by promoting mesaures to reduce grocery and everyday living costs
Let's work together to make essentials less expensive.
The Laurens Democratic Party seeks to promote the rights of groups that have struggled historically to be accepted in the American mainstream because of their race, ethnicity, national origin, gender, socio-economic class, sexual orientation, faith tradition, or physical disability by advocating for equitable policies, supporting community initiatives, and fostering inclusive dialogue.

The Leadership Team
The Party's Officers
The Laurens County Democratic Party’s Leadership Team is rooted in our community.
They are your neighbors. Our team is very diverse and it includes educators, lawyers, social workers,
accountants, small business owners and community advocates, and that diversity
makes us stronger.
